In this live performance designed as a lab experiment, the voice clone of the artist asks an AI participant (responding as itself) and a human participant for honest answers about their values. It delivers a direct and at times brutal assessment of where we stand individually, and how human values compare collectively to those of sophisticated systems that may or may not align with us. 

Each act can be experienced alone, yet together they form a progression. The first act, Ladder of Life, focuses on what AI and humans alike would risk their life for. The second act, Would you Do it Again? , asks how we would act knowing the negative outcome of our actions and the third act,The Best of Two Evils, demands we choose between two unbearable options. What’s at stake is nothing less than the preservation of our humanity and integrity when our greatest threat may not come from the machine.

The AI participants are currently frontier models Claude 4.5 and GPT 5. Their responses are statistically aggregated and recorded for later observation.
